We encourage you to consider whether you truly want to request a roommate you already know. One of the most valuable aspects of the Berklee Summer Programs experience is meeting new people from diverse backgrounds. Roommate requests are never guaranteed. You will meet your roommate(s) on move-in day, and Berklee reserves the right to adjust room assignments as necessary.

1. Roommate Request Deadlines

• June 1 for all programs

2. Mutual Requests Only

• You and your requested roommate(s) must:
  • Be enrolled in the same summer program
  • Be in the same age group (either all 15–17 or all 18+)
  • Hold the same gender identity
  • Each submit this form, explicitly requesting the other
• Non-mutual requests will not be honored.

3. Paid in Full Requirement

• Both individuals submitting a roommate request must have:
  • An approved housing lease agreement on file
  • All housing fees paid in full by June 1
• If these conditions are not met by June 1, the roommate request will not be considered.

4. No Room Accommodation Requests

• This form is only for requesting a specific roommate by name.
• Requests related to:
  • Roommate characteristics
  • Room features
  • Locations
  • Medical accommodations
  • Any other preference
    will not be considered through this form.
• For medical needs, refer to the Medical Accommodations Help Center article for instructions.

5. No Additional Information Available

• Do not contact the Summer Programs advisors for updates. They will not have more details beyond what is provided here or in the form.

6. Notification Date

• We will notify all students after June 1 regarding whether their request could be honored.

Terms and Conditions

By submitting a roommate request form, I understand and agree that:

No Guarantee
My roommate request is not guaranteed. Berklee Summer Programs may change room assignments as needed.

Deadline
I must submit my request by June 1. Requests submitted after June 1 will not be considered.

Mutual Consent
Both parties must be in the same program, age group, and share the same gender identity. Each must submit this form naming the other; non-mutual requests are not honored.

Paid in Full
Each roommate must have an approved housing lease agreement on file and all housing fees paid by June 1 for the request to be considered.

Single Purpose
This form is only for naming a specific roommate. It does not accommodate requests regarding roommate characteristics, room features, or any other preference.

Limited Updates
Summer Programs advisors cannot provide further information or expedite any request beyond what is stated here.
