On Berklee’s urban campus, which spans Boston’s Back Bay and Fenway neighborhoods, there is always something for you to discover. Boston is a proud multicultural city that welcomes people of all kinds of backgrounds and interests.

Student Activities

 
 

The Summer Life team organizes regular activities for students attending the Aspire: Five-Week Music Performance Intensive community during the summer. Throughout the five weeks, you will have ample opportunities to make meaningful connections with your peers through on- and off-campus events.

Additionally, members of the Aspire community are welcome to stop by Berklee’s Center for Campus Life to hang out, meet friends, play pool, or just to relax.

Join a Field Trip

Activities include group outings to movies and concerts, local sightseeing tours, trips to the Franklin Park Zoo, Shakespeare in the Common, and Red Sox games at Fenway Park.

Attend On-Campus Events

Events include caf shows (student-run concerts in the Berklee Dining Hall), game nights, on-campus carnivals, and other events.

Hang Out with Friends

Stop by the Center for Campus Life to hang out, play pool, or video games.

Opening Carnival

Come celebrate the start of the Aspire: Five-Week Program. Carnival Games, ping-pong tables, foosball, hot dogs, popcorn, and more will be available to students at 160 Massachusetts Avenue. Enjoy the dining hall, an ice cream truck, and outdoor games. 

Core Music Tutoring Events

Our Core Music Tutoring Department will be available for any questions about Academics or even just life at Berklee!

College Essay Writing Lab

Come for tips searching colleges, organizing your applications, writing your essay, and much more!

Arts & Crafts Nights

Unwind by making crafts. Each week there will be a different craft. All materials will be provided.

Game Nights

Play board games and video games with old friends and new! There will be quiet games available as well as large group games...popcorn will be served to all who attend!

Explore Boston: Coffee Hour

(Part of the Explore Boston Series) Explore Boston's coffee shops and grab your coffee for the day, on Berklee! Grab your friends, a book, or your laptop and come socialize to start your morning off right. Each student will receive one cup of drip coffee, compliments of Berklee.

Explore Boston: Harvard Tour

Visit Harvard University with a group from Berklee. Explore the campus and learn more about this historic and well-known college.

Isabella Stewart Gardner 

Visit the amazing museum collected and founded by Isabella Stewart Gardner. This grand museum is a must see. 

Explore Boston: Hike the Esplanade

Move your body as we explore the green spaces in Boston. Our first weekend we will hike out to the Esplanade and enjoy a leisurely walk with views of the Hatch Shell, the Charles River, and sneak peeks of Commonwealth Ave. NOTE: This is a paved, level-grounded three-mile hike, round-trip. Please wear walking shoes and stay hydrated!

Explore Boston: Trip to the Institution of Contemporary Art

Explore one of Boston's most popular museums for free! Berklee will be taking 27 students from campus to the Institute of Contemporary Art to explore this harbor-side museum. Transportation and admission costs will be covered.

 

MFA Trips

Explore the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. A short walk from campus, this museum is FREE for all those with a Berklee ID. Berklee will be taking 30 students on each trip.

Red Sox Games

Ever wanted to watch a Red Sox game at Fenway Park? Put your ID number in the raffle at the Opening Carnival and win a chance to go to a Red Sox game for free! Enjoy a day of baseball and breathtaking sights of Fenway.

Trips to New England Aquarium

Have you ever wanted to touch a ray or a shark? Come learn more about sea life and be mesmerized by over 1,000 sea creatures in a giant ocean tank! Put your ID# in the raffle at the Opening Carnival and win a chance to go to the New England Aquarium for free!

Duck Tours

Cruise along the streets of Boston and through the Charles River on a Duck Boat vehicle. Learn more about Boston’s history on this tour. Put your ID number in the raffle at the Opening Carnival and win a chance to go on a Duck Boat Tour for free!

Explore Boston: Emerson College Tour

Come visit Emerson College with a group from Berklee. Explore the campus and learn more about this college. 

Trip to Faneuil Hall

Shop 'til you drop at the historic Faneuil Hall. Bring your spending money and you can purchase Boston souvenirs. Also, don't forget to stroll through Quincy Market and buy some tasty Boston favorites including lobster rolls, clam chowder, or Boston cream pie!

Movie Night at the AMC

Interested in watching a movie at AMC Theater near the Boston Common? The theater will be rented out for a private showing just for Berklee Aspire participants! 

Live Shakespeare Performance at the Boston Commons

Interested in watching a live performance of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing in the Boston Common? Grab a blanket to sit on and some snacks, and enjoy the show with a group from Berklee!
