Caring for Your Mental Health at Aspire

Updated on October 25th, 2023

As you gear up for an inspiring and busy summer at Berklee, it's important to acknowledge that this exhilarating experience may also present new or ongoing stressors that could affect your mental health.

  • If you're currently working with a mental health team back home, we strongly recommend coordinating with them to develop a mental health plan for your time away. This may include medication management, exploring telehealth options, identifying emergency contacts, and locating nearby emergency rooms for crisis situations.
  • Remote counseling may also be available during business hours. If you wish to access this service, please consult a Summer Programs Student Life staff member for detailed instructions on how to do so.
  • In the event of a mental health crisis, Summer Programs staff might refer Aspire: Five-Week students to Berklee's Counseling Services for urgent support.

Students in crisis or who have a mental health emergency should call Public Safety at 617-747-8888 to be connected to the on-call team for further support. They may also call 988 (The National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), 911, or go to a local emergency room for assistance.
