By Car

Personal or Rented Vehicle

The City of Boston, specifically the Back Bay neighborhood, can be accessed by a variety of routes. If you are driving up from the South (Providence, RI area), one of the more efficient routes would be to take Interstate 95 North to Interstate 93 North. If you are driving in from the West (Albany, NY area), you can take Interstate 90 West directly into the heart of Back Bay. If you are driving down from the north, Back Bay can most easily be access by taking Interstate 95 South all the way into Boston.

Ride Share (Uber, Lyft, Taxi, etc.)

One of Boston's most popular methods of transportation is ride share apps. Like most large U.S. cities, Boston's ride share network is incredibly accessible and intuitive for all users. All of the neighborhoods in Boston are serviced by Uber and Lyft, and taxis can most easily be located in high traffic areas of the city, such as Back Bay, Copley Square, the Prudential Center, or the Downtown Crossing area.

In order to access ride share apps like Uber or Lyft, you will need to have internet access on your mobile device. Uber and Lyft accept mobile payments through their apps, while most Boston taxis accept debit card, credit card, or cash.

Below are some resources for using ride share services in Boston. Please note, Berklee does not endorse and is not affiliated with any of the services referenced, and cannot guarantee the quality of service offered during transportation to and/or from Berklee's campus:
